The Key to Faster Learning

Helping children become fast learners is no easy task for any parent, even for super Bianca herself. It takes a whole lot of effort, time, and patience, but it's undeniably rewarding. So here are some techniques that mommy Bianca has tried with her daughters Lucia and Carmen.

1 - Gamify learning to make it more fun

Play is an integral part of learning. It makes learning exercises much more appealing and it can help them pick things up faster. Play-based learning encourages brain development through diverse hands-on activities that allow them to exercise their imaginations, explore, experience, and create ⁽¹⁾.

“When I was growing up, there was a stigma that play is just “laro-laro” lang and was seen as “time away” from schoolwork. Parents have also found play to be a way to encourage independent learning. When a child plays independently, they develop confidence, increase problem solving abilities, creativity and even resilience. It is important for you to take the time to learn about your child’s interests, whether it’s play in the form of sports, arts, or even playing video games, so you can offer a setup, routine or even educational toys/tools that fit their type of independent play.

2 - Expose them to new learning environments

Bianca recalls, “I also noticed that in our family trips out of town, whether to a new place or somewhere they’ve been before, in just a few days, they mature and develop in leaps and bounds.
