Who is PediaSure for?

PediaSure is a specially formulated supplement for children aged 1–10 years at nutritional risk. It can be a regular part of a child’s daily diet while you work to establish healthy eating habits. It can be used to supplement nutritional intake in-between meals or at snack times.

PediaSure is not intended as a meal substitute. Children require a nutritionally balanced diet.

What flavours does PediaSure come in?

PediaSure 850 g Powder and 200 mL Ready-to-Drink Liquids come in three delicious flavours – Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate. Children love the great taste which means less fuss, less stress and less worry for you.

PediaSure Fibre 220 mL Ready-to-Drink Liquid and PediaSure Organic 800 g Powder are available in Vanilla flavour.

PediaSure is not intended as a meal substitute. Children require a nutritionally balanced diet.

How many servings of PediaSure can my child have each day?

PediaSure should be used alongside or in-between meals as part of a healthy, balanced diet.

The suggested number of serves per day is dependent on their age group:

  • Up to 2 serves for 1–8 year olds
  • Up to 3 serves for 9–10 year olds

Is PediaSure lactose free?

PediaSure contains low amounts of lactose (<2 g of lactose/100 g of product) and is generally suitable for those on a low lactose diet.

Is PediaSure gluten free?

PediaSure Powder Vanilla, PediaSure Fiber Ready-to-Drink Liquid are classified as gluten free.

Is PediaSure suitable for vegetarians?

Yes. PediaSure is suitable for vegetarians who consume foods from dairy sources.

Should I stop giving my child vitamin and mineral supplements when using PediaSure?

Follow the recommendations of a health care professional who has carefully assessed the child’s health, size, eating habits, and related factors, and who is aware of the nutritional profile of PediaSure.

Can PediaSure be given to children with diabetes?

Consult your healthcare professional to determine how appropriate PediaSure is for your child.

Is PediaSure suitable for children with milk protein allergy?

No. PediaSure contains dairy proteins (casein and whey) and is not suitable for children with allergies to milk protein.

Is PediaSure suitable for children with nut allergies?

Yes. PediaSure does not contain nuts or ingredients derived from nuts.

Can I mix PediaSure with milk?

The scientifically formulated nutrition and caloric profile of PediaSure is calculated assuming the product is mixed with water. PediaSure can also be consumed with your choice of milk, however adding PediaSure to milk or including it in recipes will alter the nutrition and calorie profile of the end product.

Can I serve PediaSure warm?

PediaSure can be served warm (below 30°C) if that is the child’s preference. Do not boil PediaSure as high temperature may destroy some nutrients.

Mixing instructions

Step 1

Add 190 mL water into a glass.

Step 2

Gradually add 5 levelled scoops (48.6 g) of PediaSure Powder to yield 225 mL mixture.

Step 3

Stir well and consume immediately.
