With the FreeStyle Libre system, glucose monitoring is made easier. It liberates you from the hassles of routine finger pricking1. Instead, just scan the reader over the small sensor worn on the back of your upper arm to check your current glucose level, where it has been for the past 8 hours, and see a trend arrow showing you where your glucose levels are headed.

^# Blood glucose monitoring - Diabetes Australia

^* A finger prick test using a blood glucose meter is required during times of rapidly changing glucose levels when interstitial fluid glucose levels may not accurately reflect glucose levels, or hypoglycemia, or impending hypoglycemia, is reported by the system or when symptoms do not match the system readings.

^** Based on the Sensor being replaced once every 14 days and scanned at least once every 8 hours.
