Double toned milk – 1 ½ cup
Vermicelli – 2tbsp
Chopped almonds – 1 ½ tsp
Chopped cashew nuts – 1/2 tsp
Raisins ½ tsp
Cardamom powder – 1/4th tsp
Saffron 2-3 strands
Ghee - ½ tsp
Vanilla Ensure Diabetes Care – 3 Scoops
In a small bowl, soak saffron strands in 2 tablespoons warm milk and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan, to this add vermicelli and roast it until it turns golden brown.
To add this milk and stir it continuously so that the milk and vermicelli do not stick to the bottom of the pan. The mix will slowly thicken.
Then, add saffron milk, cardamom powder, almonds and cashew nuts and keep mixing.
Transfer the kheer in a bowl when semi thick. Cool and add 3 scoops of Ensure Diabetes Care and mix well.
Garnish it with raisins and serve it chilled.
